SHAWN WADE THOMASON.
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE,
GOD SENDS SOMEONE SPECIAL TO US.
WITH THE ABILITY TO BRIGHTEN THE ROOM BY
JUST BY ENTERING IT,
HE WOULD MAKE A PERSONS DAY MEMORABLE
WITH A SIMPLE SMILE.
SHAWN WAS TRULY AN ANGEL THAT WALKED AMONG US.
IN THE BLINK OF A EYE, HE WAS GONE.
MY WORLD WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME. 
MY HOPES AND DREAMS GONE.
MY BIRTHDAY WOULD NEVER BE RIGHT WITHOUT YOUR BIRTHDAY KISS,
MOTHER'S DAY WOULD HAVE A VOID WITHOUT YOUR SMILE AS YOU GAVE ME A HUG,
OUR TALKS ON THE FRONT PORCH WOULD COME TO A END,
PLANTING MY FLOWERS IN THE YARD
WOULDN'T BE THE SAME.
I MISS YELLING TO TURN YOUR MUSIC DOWN,
OR YOU ASKING FOR MORE MONEY FOR GAS, BECAUSE YOU HAD RUN OUT TAKING YOUR FRIENDS HOME,
OR RUNNING THE ROADS BECAUSE YOU WHERE BORED.
THE SWIMS AT THE CREEK ,
THE FISHING AT THE RIVER,
OR EVEN FEEDING THE ANIMALS
WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME.
YOUR BROTHERS HAVE CHILDREN NOW,
AND THAT REMINDS ME THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE YOU WITH THAT EITHER,
ANOTHER VOID THAT I HAVE TO OVERCOME.
YOU ALWAYS HAD A SILLY LITTLE SMILE,
A WARM HUG,
AND A I LOVE YOU MOM 
I GUESS I AM BEING SELFISH,
BUT I WISH YOU HADN'T GONE
AND LEFT US ALL BEHIND
TO DEAL WITH THIS LOSS.
I KNOW YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE,
WAITING FOR ALL OF US TO COME HOME.

Just a second ago-
A tear ran down my cheek again,
Just thinking of you

I thought I saw you
walking down the street.
I rushed to see you,
only to find a stranger to meet.
"Excuse me," but you looked
like my son to me.
The pain and sadness comes flooding back, as I realize the reality.
Just an hour ago-
I went to your room
where you once slept.
I touched the treasures of your life,
you so fondly kept.
I call your name and smell your scent, but you're not here.
Even though you're far away,
I can feel your presence near.
Just a day ago-
I visited you, as I often do
from time to time.
Your precious memory is
so vivid in my mind.
The remembrance of you is now
etched upon a stone,
And when I close my eyes,
I imagine you by his throne.
Just a week ago-
I saw a friend of yours
and she greeted me with a smile.
We reminisced about you,
and old times for awhile.
But in her eyes,
I saw the sadness she tried to hide,
And as she turned and went away,
I saw you walking by her side.
Just a month ago-
I looked through our photo album
of a happy family,
And life we once knew,
Now I look toward God,
and trust his love and strength
Will carry me through.
Just a year ago-
You entered the room,
to tell us you were still here.
That was changed in a moment,
and now we're living a parent's fear.
Our joy has vanished,
along with our future of hope,
We are having to live life without you,
and just trying to cope.
Just a lifetime ago-
I pray for you and you appear
to me in my elusive dreams.
Your nearness is so close and real,
or so it seems.
I hear your voice,
and you're a vision of beauty, full of grace,
But I know you can't stay, f
or you live in a different time
And another place.

MY SON SHAWN
ON APRIL 5, 2001, WE LOST SHAWN TO AN UNFORTUNATE CAR ACCIDENT. SHAWN WAS A KEY MEMBER TO CHESTER HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS A SPORTS ENTHUSIAST WHO PARTICIPATED IN FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL,AND THREW THE SHOT PUT AND DISKS IN TRACK. MEMBER OF THE ONE-ACT PLAY,LOVED WRESTLING, RIDING HIS MOTORCYCLE, AND ALL OF HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THAT PRETTY MUCH INCLUDES EVERYONE, FOR SHAWN HAD NO ENEMIES AND CONSIDERED EVERONE HIS FRIEND. SHAWN WILL FOREVER BE A PART OF EVERYONES LIFE THAT KNEW HIM. HE WAS ALWAYS CHEERFUL AND HAPPY, AND COULD FOREVER BE DEPENDED UPON FOR A SMILE. HE WAS KNOWN FOR HIS LIGHT, BOUNCING STEP AND FOR THE WAY THAT HE LOVED LIFE AND NEVER TOOK IT FOR GRANTED. HE HAD A HUGE HEART AND A CAREFREE AIR ABOUT HIM THAT MADE HIM A PLEASURE TO BE WITH. HE WAS A DEVOT CHRISTIAN, WHO WILL BE MISSED EACH AND EVER TIME THE CHURCH DOORS ARE OPEN,HE WAS LOVED BY EVERYONE, AND HAD NO ENEMIES, WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT AND DISTINCT MEMORIES THAT WE HOLD CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS SO THAT WE CAN REMEMBER HIM AND HE'LL ALWAYS BE WITH US. THIS IS DEDICATED TO YOU SHAWN, MY SON, MY BEST FRIEND , WONDERFUL BROTHER AND A FRIEND TO EVERYONE, YOU WHERE THE BEST AND ARE MISSED TERRIBLY,GOD BLESS YOU SHAWN, YOU WHERE ONE OF THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE CHOSEN ONE, UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN, THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES AND THE SMILES. I LOVE YOU SON, AND PROUD YOU WHERE MY SON, LOVE YOU MOM
